lead
The LEAD Series, comprised of workshops + a one-day summit, is a multi-day intensive introduction to the Nyah Project Experiential Leadership model. It is available for to up to 100 youth leaders annually and is a component of our Fellowship selection process. Those who complete the full LEAD experience qualify for an online leadership certificate of completion.
fellowship
Our signature program is the Global Experiential Leadership Fellowship, a 12-day experiential leadership fellowship abroad to countries in sub-Saharan Africa or Southeast Asia. A select group of 10-12 high performing BIPOC students (ages 15-18) from underserved communities in South Florida undergo intensive intercultural competence training, in-country masterclasses, Impact Days, cultural immersion and leadership labs.
Our Fellowship is designed to:
Equip Fellows with the tools, skills and practical experiences to positively impact their individual communities and the world beyond,
Develop intentional practices to lead with purpose, empathy and excellence of character,
Instill a globally inclusive mindset and an understanding of social change; and
Provide life-long mentorship and increased social capital.
access
In 2020, we expanded our college access strategy coaching to develop Access Online - a web-based, mobile responsive, self-paced coaching platform that uses a suite of 9+ courses, 80+ video lessons, and 40+ tools/resources to empower underserved high school students to develop a successful college admissions strategy through a combination of experiential learning and a guided practice.
Starting in 2022, we are also training Youth Service Providers on how to use the Access Method and its related curriculum as the foundational tool for their own college access coaching.
STUDIO
Studio is Nyah Project’s artist fellowship program for emerging BIPOC artists that:
Inspires a new body of work through cultural immersion abroad,
Refines critical leadership skills for artists as community leaders, and
Provides a transformative space to explore the role of artistic expression in shaping and shifting narratives of the BIPOC diaspora.
