THE BIG IDEA
We believe travel awakens leaders.
Nyah Project bridges systemic opportunity gaps for BIPOC youth from disadvantaged backgrounds through tech-enabled college access strategy coaching and experiential leadership fellowships abroad, typically to sub-Saharan Africa or Southeast Asia, including Ghana, Namibia, South Africa, Rwanda, and Indonesia.
We know our model works! 95% of our fellows attribute their Nyah Project resources as critical to their successful college matriculation and personal development.
Over 80% of youth we serve hail from low- and moderate-income populations, 55% are female, and at least 44% are first generation college students. 100% attend college and over 95% win scholarships - over $10 million accumulated since 2014.
