Travel Awakens Leaders

Walking Tall

A true leader doesn’t claim to be fearless but can instead act with purpose in the face of fear. The Nyah Fellows faced their fears 130 feet above the ground on the Kakum Canopy walk. We followed a trail of suspended bridges through the treetops after a brisk hike up a mountainside.

Walking at such great heights highlighted the power of empathy and positive affirmations. Fellows made sure to encourage each other during the crossing to ensure that everyone had an enjoyable experience while trying something new. By turning potentially frightening heights into a fun adventure, all of us could proudly stroll through the canopy walking tall.
